One month before...
About 1 month to go until I go to study abroad in South America. This is the first of many blogs I will be writing while I study abroad.
Some thoughts right now, as I'm sitting in my friend Laura's basement, (btw she's going to Ireland in 4 days!) I'm super excited to be studying abroad in one of the greatest cities in the world- Buenos Aires (BA)!
As of now, I am a little nervous about getting plane tickets and all that- Nora (my buddy who is going to BA too from U of I) and I are still unsure what our exact plans are. The plan is for now: Go to Rio de Janiero, Brazil around February 4th and chill for a week, and then head over to Sao Paulo, Brazil for CARNIVAL (their own version of Mardi Gras- woot woot)! Then the 22nd of Feb we will be heading to Buenos Aires for our week long orientation, and then I will be 'shopping' for my classes.
My extended winter break is going well so far, I'm working at my Aunt & Uncles' house to make some extra money, looking for other work, but not having any luck finding it. Xmass was nice, and looking forward to a fun time to bring the new year in.
